Over 100 exhibiting booths from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and USA
took part in the corporate showcase at Suntec Singapore.
From 29 June to July 1, local and international trade buyers and corporate buyers turned up for the annual Singapore Gifts Show (SGS) – a trade event showcasing top gifts, premiums, lifestyle products and services. This year’s show also attracted overseas exhibitors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States of America.
The show’s visitors – comprising of mostly marketers and corporate buyers from various industries such as retail, travel and hotels – were treated to a total of 123 booths showcasing the best of design and innovation in corporate gifts and premiums. In fact, many admit that SGS has been helpful in keeping them up to date of the latest design trends and acquiring new gift ideas.
Design was a hot topic at SGS 2016 with a large number of visitors keen to find out what new and innovative designs were available. In fact, the likes of Reverse Lifestyle – the exclusive suppliers for the world patented reverse umbrella – offered visitors exclusive discounts for purchases during the show. Brex International Pte Ltd, regulars at SGS, also launched their brand new Qua collection of lacquerware which featured 4 exclusive artworks commissioned by William Farquhar, the first Resident and Commandant of Singapore (1819 – 1823).
Almost half of the exhibitors at this year’s SGS estimated the sales value of the inquiries they received to be worth at least SGD$15,000.
Apart from design, social enterprise was greatly emphasised this year as well. In her welcome address, guest of honour Madam Rahayu Mahzam, Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC, spoke about social entrepreneurship and how it had the potential to be a source of solution to address societal needs. SGS has long been a platform for Singapore Innovation Park’s (SIP) Pop and Talent Hub (PaTH) initiative.
Managing Director of TTG Asia Media, Mr Darren Ng also shared his views about how SIP has played a huge role in giving artists, craftsmen and designers from traditionally marginalized groups a platform to showcase their talent and creativity.
The Singapore Gifts Show will return on 12 to 14 July 2017 and pre-registrations are now open.
Our portfolio is comparable to that of big agencies and we possess printing assets that the majority in our industry does not own. We also provide very competitive pricing and are able to deliver on fast lead time without compromising quality.
We are currently developing an application that will provide opportunities for work here in Singapore and support those who wish to build their own printing empire here – without paying the high franchising fees.
Through whatever feedback we receive. We are always receptive to the comments we get – both negative and positive – and constantly work to improve ourselves.
It was our “Shop For Free” campaign in 2014 for our client, Tefal. We used a jackpot-style POS system for this and received very good feedback.
We once had a client who requested us to waive our design fees because they wanted the service done for free!
Stay tuned as we work to bring you a bigger, better 2017 Edition of SGS!
